Remarks

In February 2023, we were approached by a customer with a large patio roof terrace above their living room. The customer was experiencing water penetration in several areas and had installed ceramic tiles on top of the old waterproofing, which had to be removed to locate the source of the problem. CFRoofing made a site visit and proposed a solution to transform the area into a spot where the customer could enjoy lovely summer days and evenings with friends and family.

We suggested removing the old ceramic tiles and levelling out the area to install the new Seamless Monoseal Rubber waterproofing compound, which we are approved to install as a Monoseal Contractor. We also proposed laying new Rubber interlocking roof decking and walkway tiles that are designed to allow water to travel underneath via channels on the underside. Gaps around the perimeter were filled with decorative pebbles to allow drainage into the existing roof outlets.

We informed the client that the rubber tiles could be arranged with a diamond pattern in the middle to break up the Terracotta colour with a darker charcoal, and the tiles are easy to clean and visually appealing. The installation of the new materials has transformed the area, and the client was delighted with our prompt service and the final result.

The homeowners also expressed their intention to recommend our services to their friends and allowed us to showcase this project so that others could see the final result. They also generously agreed to leave us an outstanding review.
