Domestic Chimney Repair in Epsom, Surrey

In this project we renovated the chimneys at this domestic property in Epsom, Surrey.

Mr Dorrington approached C.F. Roofing and wanted some vegetation that was growing out of the cracks in the chimney rendering on one of the side stacks. He also wanted a price to re-render 3 stacks and paint.

Upon inspection it was apparent that the middle stack was in a poor condition, we established that the stack was no longer in use and recommended to the customer that in fact, it would be more cost effective to remove this stack, that to restore it to its original condition, which would cost a bit more.

After considering our estimate to render the two remaining and removing the center stack, Mr Dorrington agreed that he would like us to carry out this work. To conform with Health & Safety regulations, it was necessary to order a full scaffold access to the flank wall.

When we took down the middle stack, we utilized some of the old roof tiles from the inside of the roof, where they could be replaced with new, and made good the whole with original roof tiles, so you could not tell there had ever been a third stack.

Mr Dorrington, was extremely pleased with the look and our workmanship and was kind enough to us an excellent review.
